It does hold a bottle

Nicely made with impeccable finish. Only problem is that the opening for the wine bottle neck is too small for some wine bottles. As an example, it will not work with kendall-jackson pinot noir or kirkland chardonnay. It works with all the “bordeux” style bottles I have tried it with so far (14 different wines).
